I'm looking to start some kind of illustration course in 2010, probably combined with some graphic design and maybe a bit of digital media o; <3 But in order to actually get accepted, i have to have a portfolio, and not just a good one- it has to be amazing D: Only about a tenth of portfolio owners get as far as even the interviews x____x The thing is, I have NO IDEA what to put in one. I no longer study art and only have some ridiculously large pieces from gcse sitting around. I currently study graphics, media and english. Sadly, I don't thing much of my schoolwork done this year will actually be finished before I have to submit my portfolio, so that won't be of much help. All I have from last year that I can possibly include are photos of a model house from ym graphics profect.

So basically, the majority of my portfolio is having to be done in my free time. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for what I should be including? >-<;;

And I heard I'm also supposed to have a couple of filled sketchbooks at least. I really just don't know what the hell i'm supposed to be doing for it .____.
